The Last Dog Days of Summer!

We went to Mountain View and paddleboated. Let me ammend that. We went. Deb paddleboated. They would have let us all go (though it only says four to a boat and no one under 2) but I thought better of taking the child who runs (like a cheetah chasing prey) when he hears the bath water start, on a boat surround by his arch nemesis, water.
Everyone's gotta have their cryptonyte, weak link in the armor, you get the idea. Mine is getting stuck in any small space, especially with stinky people I don't know (think old elevator, too many people that don't think showering is healthy).

Anyhow, we had a great time just hanging on the beach waiting.
Until he discovered that he could get out of the stroller and have me chase him all over the place as he scared every bird on the ground (a favorite past time of his) while squealing with delight.
Then we walked over to the park area (yes this place is sooo fun and awesome-come visit and we'll go there) and we flew a kite I bought there for $12. Now there is something about this family and kites. We are as good as oil with water. It just never works out, but this one did! It was GREAT!
And it comes in a bag, has no put-together hoopla and there you have it.
The only trouble was staying far enough from the trees and geese. :)
Thanks for going, Deb! I NEVER could have done it without you. She really is awesome and the kids ADORE her! Nobody wanted to go home and if the Pizzeria would have opened itself we might still be there.
