We survived getting to Oakland with three car seats, one stroller and LOTs of snacks and tricks, boarding an airplane and landing two hours later in Salt Lake City. We were sooo excited. We drove past the temple. So wish we'd gotten out and walked around the lighting was amazing!
We made it to Provo a couple hours later and stayed with our friends in their huge house. So fun! We had the whole basement! We went to Bridalveil Falls for a picnic.
The water was FREEZING!
That's Elijah and Christopher. They went to preschool and kindergarten together and were both sooo excited to hang out for a few days. They even decided that if was okay with their moms and they both go to BYU they'd like to be roommates! :)

Phil had to get back to his conference so I took the boys and he and we headed home for nap (what a joke).
Another day we went to the splash pad mall nearby. This is something I WISH they'd put in near us. It was so fun for everyone.
Our last day was Sunday. We went to their awesome ward and then headed to Salt Lake to see the touristy things.

Noah is asking where the keys for the trunk are. That kid never misses any lock or money.
Emi spent a good 30 minutes dancing. I hope I can upload the video.
Replica of the plates. I couldn't even lift them by myself. Imagine preserving and carrying those around while people were chasing you and trying to steal them. Ay yay. I'll just go grab my paperback and settle in now. :)

I asked them what they thought of our new place. They weren't too big of fans. Especially since it was HOT out and there was only one bed for all of them. :)
I had to keep handing out jelly bellies (Noah's potty training bribes) to keep everyone moving. It was hot. We were TIRED.

How can you not get in the river next to the conference center? I would have gotten in on the roof if our nice tour guide would have turned away long enough.
This is where the day started to completely unravel!

Notice Phil having such an engaging talk with the tour guide. So nice that he almost missed Noah getting in to the water fountain. (which happens to be directly above the podium in case you care)
I insisted on a family photo which Emi was MAD about and the baby slept through and I was dripping in sweat. :) But so glad we got one!
So much for a serene reflecting pool when your kids keep trying to get in it.

Final attempt at getting a "nice" picture in front of the temple with the kids. Emi refused. This was the response from the others. Did I mention it was HOT?! And we were tired? The conference center tour took over an HOUR. Not good!

We survived the severe thunderstorm on the airplane home. Did you know that the air around lightning is 5 times hotter than the sun? Thanks, Elijah. I didn't. Now just keep watching the sky light up as I bite my nails and pray we don't hit turbulence. Isaiah was asleep on my lap and I was anxious to get off that plane and into my bed. We got to the airport and he got this bag and literally RAN through the airport. I had to run full speed to catch up to him. I was laughing so hard I couldn't even see.
Overall it was a great trip. Exhausting, but great! Will we make again next year? I don't know yet...
