Halloweeeeen

Trunk or treat crew minus Junie B Jones.
 take two on a smile.
All of us were sick to some degree...but the show must go on.
Isaiah is wearing the costume Elijah wore at that age. Precious and soooo sad. Time to give it away and I find myself really having a hard time with that. I don't want the clutter, but I so want to hold onto those times. :)
Trick or treating was fun, minus Dad who finally succumbed to the bug. :( I don't think this is the first time he's conveniently been sick come trick or treat time.
I am sad to say I didn't get any good individual shots. I can't believe it. Hopefully Grami got picks at the parade of Emi. I do have some of Noah and Elijah...

I think Emi was playing her part. :)
We trick and treat to the Pizzeria, eat dinner and then go home. Let's just say that the kids got halfway and declared they had enough candy and let's just go eat. :) Great plan, I'd say.

Spook Alley

This is it. Our super spooky alleyway. We had a lot of fun putting it up and invited friends and family to come walk through, have some snacks and enjoy a visit.
There were sound effects, a fog machine, and a lot of screaming and giggles.
This is what the men did. Football. or was it baseball?
Then the kids went out back and jumped...
 and swung...
and had a grand old time.

We had lots of treats and it was so nice to have such a fun reason to get together.

The cousins came in costume so then we had to have ours on. :)

Not sure if I"ll ever do it again, but it was super fun and when it was over I would have torn those decorations down except it was a week before Halloween! You can bet that the day after Halloween there was not a trace of it ANYWHERE! :)

Fall Brings....Soccer!

I have decided that I really like to watch soccer. I like soccer season. It's fall. It's usually cooler and there's quite a bit of action and it keeps the kids busy. Everyone loves to go so I say it's a winner.
Emi was GREAT! She loved being fullback and was a SUPER good goalie. Other coaches even came and complimented her lack of fear and her ability to get in there and get the ball. :)

Grandma finally made it to a game. I was at a bday party with the little boys, so thanks for cheering her on, Grandma. ;)
Elijah and soccer have finally clicked. He likes it and he's really fast and gets in there this year and goes for it.

I was home getting ready for our Halloween Spook Alley in the hallway. Good stuff.
This is Ella, from church. They're really great friends. SOOO happy they'll have each other in high school to hang around with when all the other crowd is crazy! ;)

Our Family

Here's what we look like. Can't get it any bigger...
We've been having all sorts of fun.
This is what happens when you fall asleep during Halloween decorating.
This is what you look like when you lose your tooth. Junie B. Then you decide you can BE Junie B for Halloween!
The cats are still a big hit.

As I type she is literally getting scratched and bit because she can't help herself from "loving" the cats.
As you can imagine, he "loves" the cats a bit too much as well. :)
I seriously LOVE seeing them sleep. It's so peaceful and  lovely.
Oh, and we still have deer coming in our yard all the time. Now there's a mom and FOUR fawns. LOVELY.
The boys love to watch Caillou in my bed in the morning after we drop everyone off.
Sometimes this little one will fall asleep if the stars are aligned. :) Loving this time of my life. Seriously. I love being a mom to these kids. Oh, and the wife of that hot guy in the top pic. He's so good to us!
