This Poor Little Cutie

This little cutie got stung 4 times today by yellow jackets.
I was just out the door after dropping the boys (Noah and Isaiah) to my in-laws and was just beginning to look around Ross for a few things that I don't really need, but certainly wouldn't mind when the phone rang and on the other end my poor in-laws told me the story. I think Grandpa wished he could've rewound time to undo it.
I felt bad for Isaiah, but equally for them. They were so sorry it had happened. They don't hang out over here enough where every few minutes someone falls and scrapes their knee or they bang their head on the door or someone pushes someone and they both get hurt.
It's part of the growing-up game. Sadly I would have really like a moment to myself, but as I told Phil I think I'll just never leave the house and we'll just save a lot of money. :) Happy Friday! At least Phil's coming home tomorrow night! I wonder what will happen before then?

Our Prince is Missing

It's SUMMMER!!!!!
I have to say it's funny how you forget all the things that drive you crazy about a person when they are not home. We sure miss Phil while he's at a dental conference. One more LONG day with tons of fun things going on and then he'll be home! :)
I marvel at the single mothers and mothers who's husbands travel regularly because it is hard to be tired and still need to be nice AND get everything done. I can usually manage one or the other...
Emi's graduation day, June 1
Today we made strawberry jam (tutorial post soon because I know you all want to make your own jam-it's super easy and sooooo delicious)! We also made our summer treasure boxes. We will put things that we just LOVE about our summer vacation in them and then at the end of the summer we will "bury" them until winter when we need to think of the fun, hot summer we miss so much. Then auntie Debbie helped us begin to make the race track for Elijah's birthday party coming up in a couple of weeks! WAY COOL! Pics to come soon! :)

What to do...make pinatas, of course!

While Phil's away we've been BUSY because busy means not bored and not bored means less fighting (not no fighting, just less) and less fighting equals less yelling by the tired mom. So we decided to make pinatas. An idea I got from one of my fave blogs, 71 toes. We're going to fill them (each kid made one because I am a sucker!) with some school stuff, little toys and of course, candy and bust them open after the first day of school
(for the first kid-Elijah is starting second grade).

But then as almost all projects go I am left finishing EVERYONE'S pinata and they start to go and do other things. Emi for instance found the camera therefore the photo above...

Then Noah got a hold of the camera (thankfully after he washed his hands of all the glue) and you have this cute big toe shot which tickled him pink!

And then Emi decided to turn the camera around and catch Isaiah hanging out while we do our thing. It almost seems like he's trying to tell her she's going to be busted if she gets caught with the camera AGAIN! :)
