I want to be in America...

Puerto Rico. Have you heard that song? Well since Elijah's school sang that his first year I had it stuck in my head the ENTIRE trip. Fun. Since I could only remember that line and the chorus.
Take off in the morning and landing at 11 pm in Puerto Rico with a quick stop in Texas (thanks Kristi for showing us around and eating lunch)!
The view from our room. Need I say more?
Old Town San Juan. So neat. I loved the buildings. Phil thought I took the one below because of the name. haha so glad I did even more.
The cobblestone streets were this amazing blue color (not so good in the picture and I don't edit mine so sorry.)
Bird food in bag. Lots of insane birds. Crazy people who think this is cool, fun or anything but gross = entertainment for me to watch. It was super smelly!

He won't let me take a picture so I have to candidly get ones like this.
 and this.
Then he took away the camera and I wished I would have hidden.
That wall is HUGE! I don't know how they built things like this so long ago.
Ay yay. So this is a fort and it was like 90 with 90% humidity. I was HOT and sweaty and seriously wishing I could just jump in the water!

Oh my goodness. Why am I even putting these up?

 Another fort on another day.
Iguanas everywhere! They are native and the people hate them because they eat things they shouldn't.

As close as I can get to him not being mad about a picture. He looked so cute down there...

Drawn by a prisoner before being executed. This was the dungeon. It still smelled bad.
My view every morning until Phil was done with his classes.

Don't look at the scary lady, but the finger indicates our room.
The orchids grew off of the palms. So pretty.
 Good bye.

To thin we only saw that little crescent of the island while we were there. What a waste! Except I did read Tina Fey's book (so funny) and Secret Daughter (super good) and had a lovely time eating at the club level food buffet ALL day and gained 6 pounds as a result. Not nice. Overall it was so nice to rest and relax though I missed the kids a TON.
When we got back it was our anniversary and as a surprise Phil bought me a Tiffany starfish necklace that I showed him at the hotel that I loved. So sweet. Love that guy and so glad we got to have some time alone to remember how much we love being together. :)

I can't believe I put this picture on here, but here it is. Me at U2!!!!!!!
I wish I could have gotten a good pic, but I was so excited that I was bouncy up and down (while Phil was holding me-I'm sure his arms are sorer than after his worst workout haha) or pumping my fist or blowing kisses. It was AWESOME!
None of these pics from my lame phone do it justice! We were CLOSE!
Like 20 feet away! Those two blurs are Bono and the Edge (my two faves!)

The stage was amazing. They sang a million songs and I just can't say enough about my date. He was great! We screamed, jumped, yelled the words to our favorite songs. Swayed to the music. It was like we were in high school again without kids and just the two of us.
BONO! We went home and my in-laws had the kids so we crashed at about 1:30am! Phil had to get up for work. I slept in. It was great!

I couldn't get over what they did with their stage stuff and lights and such.

 Bono saying goodbye for real.
There they all are saying good bye for the third time. Wish this night could never end. So funny because most of the people there were 30-50's and people were yawning and looking rather exhausted. Sooooo funny! :)
