We were supposed to go to Utah, but Noah looked like this the day we were to leave. Pretty bad. He'd been running a fever of 102-104.5 for several days and we just couldn't see taking him on a plane and dragging him all over the place. Good thing because the day he stopped having high fevers Isaiah woke up with the bug! Elijah was completely devastated by not being able to go. He was soooo sad about not seeing his old buddy, Christopher. It took him about half an hour to stop losing his mind and get ready for school. (I never would have told him before school if I'd known he would have become so upset) Now Noah has double ear infections and Isaiah is just simply miserable and not sleeping. Fun.
But one good thing did come out of this experience. I saw a recipe on Our Best Bites and I modified it a bit and made this salad which is now MY favorite! It was SOOOOO good! Oh and we have our swing-set built, we're working on the front yard, and we made a super cute egg carton wreath that I found on Be Different Act Normal. It feels good to have things around here coming together a bit more, but it sure would have been fun to get away! Oh well. I'll just keep thinking about August (our couples get away-just Phil and I wahoo!) :)

He's Just So Tasty!
Emi will probably kill me for posting this one day, but you can't see anything, right? She snuck into the boys' bath and you can tell she likes it there. In fact, I sometimes think she purposely goes in the yard and gets dirty so she has an excuse to go fill up the tub and get in. I have to admit I love that tub too! :)
It's also hard to believe that the little guy on the left was feeling this chipper and happy until yesterday morning at 1:30 when he cried out, "MOM!" and then came in my room with a fever and a croupy cough.
| I tried playing with my camera's lighting-not good.need a real camera for that. not a point and shoot. |
Isaiah continues to run around, hit Noah on the head if he gets the chance and is so far healthy. Now if we can ALL just remain this way during our trip!
On a lighter note, Elijah was playing Angry Birds (he's better than Phil and I both) and Emi was watching him and then she decided to give him a lick. Elijah kicked her and she cried and cried. I finally intervened and asked her why on earth she licked him and she said, "He's just so tasty!" Elijah said, "Even if I am you still can't lick me." Oh my goodness I couldn't stop laughing to even add my own comment. That girl never ceases to come up with wild and crazy reasons for everything she does. :) Not sure that'll be so cute when she's a teenager.
