As always all the family turned out to support (we are so blessed to live so close to family)!
Serious cheering only! There's one of our awesome cub leaders and his wife.
There's some more of the pit crew/cheer members
My friend Mavie and I not really sure what to do to cheer (each car had to run on each of the four lanes and there were about 25 cars)! That's a lot of time to kill.
Here's the serious racing face (note the wet hair-in between races he'd "cool off" by running around in the rain a few laps)
There's the happy winner face.
He just learned he got the fastest run!
His car is the one with the blue wheels (a long story, but suffice it to say that Grandpa drove to Foster City to get them because one wheel was missing just a day before the race-such is this life with four little people and eight busy hands- or it could have been the one crazy mom who throws everything on the floor away now). The little silver "driver" weight made us a perfect 5!
1st and 2nd place winners. Mavie's son got 3rd. :)
That is one happy kid! :) So exciting and fun!
Wow, you are lucky to have a pinwood derby winner in your family- I love the expression on his face in the last picture, priceless!
